St Albans Rural Bush Fire Brigade Pioneer Trail Run
We will be updating this information over the coming months so we encourage you to mark this page as a favourite and come back and visit from time to time.
St Albans Volunteer Rural Bush Fire Brigade, a volunteer organisation, is always seeking new members and funding for continuous training and improvement. Fund raising is an important part of any volunteer organisation and to that end, St Albans Brigade is organising a huge and exciting event. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control, our inaugural St Albans Pioneer Trail Run has been postponed to Saturday, 17th April 2021 and will be subject to COVID-19 restrictions in place at the time.
The event is open to serious runners and casual fitness freaks for the longer courses, including pets (dog only) on the K9 course. Families with children and/or pets (dogs only) can explore the valley on the much shorter Wee Woofa course. Online entry applications to enter in the various courses for this event are now available. Please visit: https://www.onlineentry.com.au/StAlbansRFS_Select_2021.aspx |
Trail Run DetailsThere are three courses for different fitness and skill levels. Individuals, families and pets can spend a fun-filled morning running and walking through the Australian bush. The courses will trace some of the early pioneering paths and river crossings. The 23.7km Pioneer run even has a 21.1km half-marathon timing point for the serious contenders.

The Village
The village of St Albans lies nestled in the Macdonald River valley around one and a half hours northwest of Sydney.
Surrounded by rugged hills and blind valleys dotted with old cemeteries and the sandy river fed by creeks running out of nearby national parks, the whole area is rich in pioneering history. |
Accommodation
Retreats, guesthouses, B&Bs plus a 185yr old pub steeped in history can provide accommodation overnight or for the entire weekend.

Special Raffle
In addition to the general excitement on the day, we will be drawing the winner of a major raffle prize. This high quality camper trailer has been donated to St Albans Brigade specifically to raise funds for training and operational efficiency. Tickets at $10 each are now available by contacting the Brigade at treasurer@stalbansrfs.org.au with tickets available up until 12:00pm on the day of the Trail Run. Updates and more information will be posted on our Facebook page. |

All sponsors will be acknowledged and we are looking for major sponsors for the event and sponsorship for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place prizes; merchandise including tee shirts, bandannas for dogs and other items.
