Hi All,
Further to the warning I sent out last night the latest news is:The bridges up MacDonald river above St Albans are under water.St Albans Road is under flood water at Hugh and Cynthia Deakin's (where the lowlines cattle and goats are) However this could open up as low tide is about 6.45pm today. A tree has taken down power lines near there and is blocking half of the road Settlers Road is closed due to trees across the road somewhere below Wrights Creek and flood water across the causeways near Peter and Sue Inman. There is also reports I have not heard about Violets Gully. The two causeways on Wollombi Road are well under appx 2 meter of water according to the depth indicators and the water is now over the road at the fishing comp area. The water depth sign indicating 2 meters has also disappeared. We have been advised that the Webbs Creek Ferry is now closed. So if you can get through you may need to phone them and check if they are back on 044 7766 415. SES Advised this morning that the storm front is moving north but is expected to turn and move back towards St Albans area. If you need assistance from the SES call 132 000.I understand that most of the valley residents are without power, so keep me informed and I will get updates out regularly. As usual can everyone check on their neighbours. So No one is going anywhere for a while.
Cheers Sherri
