The new roster is now available in the members area.
Despite having to compete with the AFL grand final we had a great turnout. Lots of kiddies entertained with trips in the ATV and lots of snags consumed. All in all a very successful day with three new members signed up (Myra Fox, Leslie Gates and Brian McIver) and two property inspections organised. Thanks to all who contributed especially to the MVA for the naughty cakes. The Brigade Hi all,
The St Albans Brigade has just returned to the shed after being called out to a pile burn in a back yard. A total fire ban was declared again for today. The fire bans are declared when the weather is expected to be dangerous for fire conditions. It is your responsibility to check the RFS web site, or listen to the radio (ABC), phone fire control before you light up to see if a Total Fire Ban has been declared. Although I will try and keep you advised I am not always in a position to notify you guys ahead of time. The St Albans RFS web site is live and will be up to date. Also let the neighbors know if you are going to light up, have water available to put any fire out if need be. If you see the neighbor lighting a fire and you know a total fire ban has been declared pop over and tell them, they may not know. Cheers Sherri |
